We respect your
unique and creative vision
It is your book. Our job is to make it the best version of what you intended, not what we would have written.
Tell us which stages your book still needs and we will quote the whole set in one place.
Request a single quoteThese are not marketing lines. The first six appear in every scope document we issue. The second six are the promises other companies make that we will not.
Six commitments that appear in the scope document rather than the brochure. They are the reason authors return for a second book, and the standard you may hold us to at any point in your project.
It is your book. Our job is to make it the best version of what you intended, not what we would have written.
A named coordinator, timely milestone updates and bad news delivered early rather than discovered late.
Real typesetting, original design and files built to the specification your printer and retailers actually require.
From the first honest assessment to long after launch including the parts that are not billable.
Copyright, royalties and every production file. We produce and distribute; we never acquire.
Deliverables, allowances, revision rounds and exclusions written down before you commit a penny.
Every item below is something the publishing services industry routinely implies. None of them are within any publisher's power to deliver.
We will not tell you how many copies your book will sell, because nobody knows. Sales depend on the book, the category, the price, the cover, the season and a great deal of chance.
We send advance copies to real readers. Whether they review, and what they say, is entirely theirs. We never pay for reviews it violates retailer terms and can get a book delisted.
Publicity is pitching. We research targets, write personalised pitches and follow up, and we report every contact. Whether an outlet covers your book is an editorial decision we do not control.
Distribution makes your book orderable by bookstores and libraries. Whether any individual shop stocks it is their own buying decision, based on local demand and shelf space.
A well-made book does not attract an agent by existing. If you intend to query, we will tell you how prior publication is generally viewed rather than implying it helps.
Any company implying they can place your book on a list is describing either luck or a paid promotion with rules you should read very carefully.
We do not guarantee sales, reviews, rankings, media coverage or acquisition by another publisher. Outcomes depend on many factors outside any publisher's control. Marketing services increase visibility and are measured in activity delivered, not in sales generated.
A promise nobody can enforce is decoration. If any commitment on this page is not being met on your project, raise it with your coordinator and if that does not resolve it, contact us directly and it will be looked at by someone else.
Thirty minutes, no obligation, and an honest answer about what your book needs. If we think you should keep revising, that is what you will hear.
