About your publishing choices

Self-publishing usually gives the author the most control over the manuscript, cover, pricing, formats and publication date. With Winfrey, you keep that control while our team handles the professional work included in your chosen package. Nothing moves forward without your approval.

That depends on the publishing route. Traditional publishers usually cover production costs, while self-publishing and assisted self-publishing require the author to invest in the work. Winfrey packages have a stated starting price, an initial deposit and milestone-based payments, so you know how the cost is structured before the project begins.

A royalty split determines how book earnings are divided between the author, publisher, retailer and other parties named in the agreement. The percentage alone does not tell the whole story. You should also check whether royalties are calculated from the retail price or the amount left after printing, retailer discounts and other charges.

Yes. A professionally produced self-published book can be made available through retailer, wholesaler and library ordering networks. Availability does not always mean a store will keep copies on its shelves, however. Physical placement usually depends on demand, retailer interest, return terms and active sales outreach.

No. You keep the rights to your work, and Winfrey does not take a share of your royalties. You pay for the publishing services set out in your approved scope, while ownership and publishing income remain with you, subject to the terms of the retail and distribution platforms you choose.
